Barangay Guadalupe

Guadalupe is one of the barangay which is in the outlaying are of the Municipality of Alegria. It is located in the mountainous area and has 14 sitio namely: teguib, Cabugan, Lingatong, Conlansihan, Atangan, Talayong, Sima, Aliangaw, Cambais, Calut, Balabag, Logingut, Anislag and Mayana. The Barangay got its name from the two lovers Guada and Lupe who unconditionally love each other, and defied their forbidden love and the people who disapproved their relationship by jumping off the cliff together while holding each other’s arms. From that day forth, the place has named Guadalupe to renowned Guada and Lupe’s infinite love for each other. 

Guadalupe is 8.3km away from Alegria town proper. The local people’s main livelihood is farming. It has also its beautiful attraction named Cambais Falls, a three level falls located is sitio Cambais. To reach Cambais falls, tourists will have to go through sitio Cagubaan of brgy. Valencia. It is 1.32km away from sitio Cagubaan to Cambais Falls.
